Laura Gable was born and raised in rural Nebraska. She earned her bachelor's degrees in Art and Accounting at Chadron State College in northwestern Nebraska.

Her career begin in accounting, then graphic design. Since 2001, design work has evolved into teaching and creating art. Laura now focuses on painting and instruction.

Laura's work has won awards and has been exhibited at various public and private galleries throughout the region. She has participated in shows at Allied Arts, the Gallery on Gage, Carnegie Art Center, Wallowa Festival of the Arts, and Snoqualmie Vineyards. She also exhibits at open-air events including Art in the Park (Richland), and Art on the Green (Coeur d'Alene).
